We’re pleased to announce the appointment of a new Assistant Professor, Kate Vredenburgh, who joins the Department in September.

Kate Vredenburgh joins us from Stanford University, where she has been a postdoctoral fellow at the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society and the Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence since 2019. Prior to this she completed her PhD at Harvard.

Kate works mainly in the philosophy of (social) science, political philosophy, and the philosophy of technology, on topics that intersect with ethics, epistemology, and metaphysics.

In 2020-21 Kate will teach on our Philosophy of the Social Sciences (PH203 / PH405) and Philosophy of Economics (PH311) courses.

We look forward to welcoming Kate to the Department!
