We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Azita Chellappoo, who joins the Department this month as an LSE Fellow.

Azita Chellappoo joins us from the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, where she’s just completed her doctoral thesis on cultural evolution. Prior to this, Azita completed our own MSc programme in Philosophy of Science, for which she was awarded the Lakatos Prize in 2015. Azita is also involved in the decolonise the curriculum movement and is one of the co-directors of the Minorities and Philosophy UK network

Azita’s research interests include philosophy of biology, feminist epistemology, and philosophy of race. This year she will teach on our MSc course, Philosophy of Gender and Race.

We look forward to welcoming Azita to the Department!
