Max Rose graduated from our Philosophy and Public Policy MSc programme in 2009. Since graduating, Max served on active military duty in Afghanistan before taking up a position as Director of Public Engagement for Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth P. Thompson and, later, as Chief of Staff at Brightpoint Health.

Following a successful campaign, Max was elected to the US House of Representatives in the recent midterm elections. He will assume office for the Democrats in New York’s 11th Congressional district seat on 3 January 2019.

Our Philosophy and Public Policy MSc programme offers students a unique combination of rigorous philosophical training along with the analysis of real-world issues in politics and public policy. Our graduates go on to a broad range of careers, including governmental positions spanning the entire political spectrum, as well as non-governmental organisations and further graduate work in philosophy.
