2015 marked LSE’s 120th anniversary and to commemorate the occasion the School embarked on an oral history project: Tales from Houghton Street. This project sought to record the memories of some of LSE’s “old-timers”, one of whom was our very own Professor of Philosophy of Science, John Worrall (John’s LSE-connection dates back to 1965).

The Tales from Houghton Street collection has now been made available on the LSE Digital Library. It contains 30 audio recordings of interviews with alumni and staff who were studying or working at the School between the 1950s and 2015, as well as an introductory podcast, below.
