Dr Robert Basedow is an Associate Professor in International Political Economy.

His research focuses on international trade and investment policy, international dispute settlement mechanisms and regulatory cooperation. He has published inter alia in the Review of International Political Economy, Regulation and Governance, Journal or European Public Policy, Journal of International Economic Law, World Trade Review and Journal of Common Market Studies. Prior to joining the LSE, he was an official at the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, worked as consultant for the European Institutions, and the German government. He has been a visiting professor at Princeton University, where he remains a non-resident fellow at the Liechtenstein Institute, and Sciences Po as well as a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence.
