An annual event for our Executive MSc Behavioural Science alumni
July 2025
Our July 2025 conference, organised by Dr Matteo M. Galizzi and Gosia Brown, centred on the theme 'Applying behavioural science around the world'. Some highlights included:
- Dr Matteo M. Galizzi chaired a panel discussion with alumni Zeina Afif, Anna Guerraggio and Cortney Price on ‘Applying behavioural science in international organisations’.
- Dr Sanchayan Banerjee gave a talk entitled 'Beyond nudging'.
- Dr Umar Taj chaired a conversation on ‘Networks, conferences, and initiatives in applied behavioural science: insights from BeScy, BeWay, BiP, BT, GAABS etc’ with Zeina Afif, Sanchayan Banerjee, Alex Ferrer, Kirra Moser and Scott Young.
- Alum Jeni Miles spoke about her new report ‘Post-Growth Business Majority Report’.
- Alum Giorgia Prestento introduced her new book ‘Master the Change Maze – a leader’s guide to transformation without chaos’.
- Scott Young moderated a roundtable on ‘Building and sustaining support for behavioural science in organisations’ with Jo Osborn, Gregory Perdon, Chris Spedding, Katrina Steyn and Nitish Upadhyaya.
We also enjoyed presentations from recent graduates about their dissertation projects. The day was rounded off with a very enjoyable networking reception in the Senior Common Room.

Executive MSc Conference Programme July 2025

April 2025
Representatives from our Executive MSc Behavioural Science hosted an event at BX2025. In addition to introducing the programme, Dr Barbara Fasolo facilitated a conversation with EMSc alumni Fatima Koaik and Rasha Attar ElSolh about their cutting-edge research on the use of synthetic participants in behavioural science studies.
July 2024
On 19 July 2024, Gosia Brown and Matteo M Galizzi organised a one-day conference for alumni of the LSE Executive MSc programme in Behavioural Science. We were delighted to welcome back our former students for a wonderful opportunity to engage, connect and share insights. Some highlights included:
- Alum Claire Hobden talked about ‘Transforming the Lives of Domestic Workers: Leveraging Behavioural Science for Development at the UN and ILO’
- Philipp Schoenegger discussed ‘Judgmental Forecasting Tournaments: Applications and Limitations’
- Alum Nuala Walsh presented her new book ‘Tune In’
- Alum Benno Guenther talked about ‘Getting a PhD after the EMSc'
- Scott Young moderated a Panel Discussion on ‘Opportunities and Challenges for Behavioural Science in the Private Sector’ with alumni Matt Battersby, Torben Emmerling, David Grosse, Lindsay Kohler, and Maddie Quinlan.
We also enjoyed quickfire 2-minutes presentations from the graduating EMSc cohort about their dissertations.

July 2019
Bridging the Gap: A conference for students and alumni of LSE's Executive MSc Behavioural Science
On 25 July 2019 Matteo M Galizzi, Therese Holmqvist, and EMSc alum Maddie Quinlan organised the first conference for students and alumni of the Executive MSc Behavioural Science. Discussions at this event lead to several fruitful collaborations, including the creation of the Global Association of Applied Behavioural Scientists (GAABS).
