This research project, funded by the Leverhulme Trust, critically reflected on some of the key challenges posed by the Syrian refugee emergency in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and the wider Middle East. A workshop, entitled 'The Long-term Challenges of Forced Migration: Local and Regional Perspectives from Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq', was held at LSE on 17–18 June 2016, from which a video, a collection of papersand a list of key recommendations were produced. All papers were published on our blogand in print, in both English and Arabic.
