Thesis: Taiwanese girls' self-portraiture on a social networking site (2012)

Dr. Wang's thesis focused on young people's engagement with online activities, specifically looking at the role of digital content-creation (online photographic self-portrait) in young people's identity work. The ultimate research goal seeks to understand how young girls make sense of their lives via self-portrait on social networking site, and identify the opportunities and risks involved for the reference of (new) media literacy education in Taiwan.

After the PhD

Dr. Wang is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Communications Management, National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan.
