Study abroad and trips

On our BSc programmes

Our aim is to support language learning throughout your time at LSE. That is why we have established links with a range of international institutions who can provide study opportunities for you. We also have funding available to support you.

Fees for your year abroad

Home undergraduate fees are set by the UK Government. Home undergraduates will be charged 15 per cent of the fee for the year in which they started their programme of study, e.g., students starting in 2021/2 on a fee of £9,250 will be charged £1,387.50 for their year abroad, regardless of the year of study when it is actually taken. Overseas students will be charged 50 per cent of the Home undergraduate fee for the year in which they undertake their year abroad.

Confirmation of these fees, and any changes year by year, can be found here under 'Exchange and Study Abroad Year Fees.
