• In June 2025 MPs met to discuss and debate the fifth anniversary of the Covid-19 pandemic. As part of her contribution, the Labour MP for Ribble Valley Maya Ellis mentioned a paper by LSE's Dr Clare Wenham and Dr Asha Herten-Crabb entitled "Why we need a Gender Advisor on SAGE". The paper calls for dedicated roles focused on gender on the Government's Scientific Advisory Group on Emergencies (SAGE) after finding that the group failed to consider gender dynamics as it advised the Government on the pandemic.
• Dr Katharine Millar has received a Highly Commended recognition from LSESU for Inspirational PhD Supervision.
• Dr Stephanie Schwartz spoke with FRANCE 24 about ICE’s armed LA raids and how their high-profile nature aligned with key priorities of the Trump administration.
• LSE Fellows Dr Patrick Gill-Tiney and IRD alumna Dr Jacklyn Majnemer co- authored a blog post titled "Europe’s nuclear dilemma: deterrence without the United States?"
• In a new article for the Journal for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament, Dr Lauren Sukin and PhD Candidate Samuel Seitz evaluate the emerging risks and challenges of contemporary regional nuclear security policy.
• PhD candidate Charlie Carter has received the John Sprague Award from the American Political Science Association for his paper "The Co- Evolution of Conflict Aid and Terrorism Rhetoric".
• Dr Patrick Gill-Tiney was quoted in the Kyiv Independent's article "Infighting around EU rearmament undermines grand ambitions for European defense."
• Professor Fawaz Gerges joined The Ledepodcast episode, "The Middle East’s Forgotten Power Brokers," to discuss his new book, The Great Betrayal: The Struggle for Freedom and Democracy in the Middle East.
• Dr Asha Herten-Crabb has been awarded the LSE Global Research Fund to host scholar-activist Dr Obaapanin Adwoa Oforiwaa Adu, a leading scholar-activist from Ghana’s University of Media, Arts and Communication. The visit will support collaboration with UK-based researchers, Pan-Afrikan reparations networks, and civil society groups, contributing to emerging transnational efforts on truth-telling about the British Empire.
• Professor Tomila Lankina has written an article for LSE's EUROPP blog, based on her recent experience teaching a course (a mix of online and offline lessons) on Eastern European politics and foreign policy at the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE).
• Read our DINAM Fellow Dr Teona Giuashvili's paper titled, "Energy Connectivity Amid EU-Georgia Political Disconnection: The Last Bridge?", which is part of the DGAP report "Connectivity Policy. A Strategic Tool for the EU in its Eastern Neighbourhood."
  Dr Teona Giuashvili also moderated a roundtable discussion on "China’s Increasing Influence in the South Caucasus" and participated in a panel on "Georgia’s Foreign Policy and the Role of International Actors", part of the Fourth Annual Oxford-Georgia Forum: Quo Vadis, Georgia? at St Antony’s College, Oxford School of Global and Area Studies.

• Professor Robert Falkner has published a new chapter: "From the Margins to the Center of Global Environmental Governance: International Business at the Stockholm (1972), Rio (1992), and Johannesburg (2002) Conferences."
