About
Kenddrick Chan is Head of the Technology and International Affairs project at LSE IDEAS. He is also a doctoral candidate in International Development at the University of Oxford, where he is the Henfrey Graduate Scholar in Chinese Studies.
His research examines the intersection of digital technologies, global governance, and international order. He also has technical expertise in areas such as AI systems, data centres, and telecommunications infrastructure.
He was previously a Senior Policy Analyst at the Tony Blair Institute, where he worked alongside governments of developing economies on technology and national development policy. He has also worked in the Prime Minister’s Office and ICT regulator in Singapore. He was a 2022–2023 Fellow at the Portulans Institute and has also contributed to the work of various UN agencies.
At LSE IDEAS, he leads policy and academic research, develops external research partnerships, and has represented LSE IDEAS at various forums including the G20, UN, EU, and others.
He holds an MSc in International Relations (with Distinction) from the LSE, and a BSc in International Relations (with First Class Honours) from the University of London. He also holds a Diploma in Information Technology, specialising in network infrastructure.
