How to make it to the Eurobubble
With over 75,000 people working in the 79 EU institutions and bodies, and at least the same number of people working in the 3,000+ European affairs-related organisations, the "Eurobubble" is a vast and somewhat complex professional ecosystem.
As part of our continued efforts here in the European Institute to demystify careers in Europe to our students and support them in their career ambitions, we had the pleasure of welcoming Valentin Dupouey last Friday, Director for Communications, External Relations and Events at the College of Europe, for a workshop explaining the diversity of this professional ecosystem and potential career paths.
With his 15 years of experience working in European affairs in a diversity of sectors and contexts, Valentin shed light on how to break through the Eurobubble, including the soft skills and attitudes that are needed to succeed beyond the knowledge you gain at university, and what pitfalls to avoid.
Thank you Valentin for the amazing session!
