Alix is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics. She studies the determinants of research take-up in policymaking and the diffusion processes characterizing the spread of policy ideas, with the aim of supporting evidence-based decision making in development.
Prior to joining the PhD program, Alix worked in Ghana on research projects evaluating the introduction of innovative teacher trainings in pre-primary school. Alix also worked with the World Bank in Sierra Leone, supporting the Ministry of Health and Sanitation on the planning of the post-Ebola recovery strategy in the health sector.
