Film screening: Dahomey (Matti Diop, 2024)

As part of Black History month we are screening Mati Diop's film Dahomey at 18:45 in OLD 4.10 (Old Building), on Tuesday 7 October.
The film is a semi-documentary about the restoration of looted artworks to the West African state of Benin.
The screening will be followed by a talk and discussion on the political economy of reparations in the context of the film by researcher Tanita Lewis. There will be a social in the Economic History Common Room (Sardinia House) afterwards.
Pottery Café for students and staff of the Economic History department
Tuesday 11 November, 3-6pm, in the Economic History Common Room (SAR G12 and meeting room).
Everyone is invited to make an object from air-drying clay. No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm. We’ll provide materials, tools and inspiration, so come along and make something to brighten up your room or home, or give as a gift.
Free hot drinks and snacks will be available in the café area.
