CHANCES-6 is a large research programme involving CPEC and various partners in the UK and all across six low- and middle-income countries in Africa and Latin America.
To generate knowledge that can improve the design and development of existing welfare and anti-poverty programmes so that they achieve the best possible life opportunities for young people living in poverty.
We focus on young peoples’ mental health, which tends to be neglected in this context.
Our world-leading partners:
• Universidad de los Andes (Colombia)
• University of Cape Town (South Africa)
• Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (Brazil)
• King’s College London (UK)
CHANCES-6 began in September 2018 and will run until September 2021
The project is led by the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre at LSE and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.
