Project description:

The main objective of this project is to support 15 early career researchers (ECRs) working in the field of political science or international relations in Turkey by developing their writing and publishing skills, providing advice on career development and stimulating professional networks with other ECRs and established scholars.

The project consists of 2 writing workshops, organised in Ankara and Istanbul.

The first workshop was co-hosted by the Turkish Political Science Association and coincided with its annual congress in September 2023 (see the attached workshop programme).

The second workshop will take place in April 2024 and consist of the project team’s review, peer-to-peer review and group discussion of the draft articles of the ECRs. There will also be sessions on writing a cover letter, the submission process, and revising and resubmitting.

Throughout the project the participants will receive individual mentoring by the members of the project team with the aim of successfully submitting their articles to Q1/Q2 journals and revising their manuscripts based on referee feedback.
