On 2 and 6 Oct 2017, Confucius Institute for Business London(CIBL) held two events at PWC Embankment and PWC London Riverside to celebrate Chinese traditional Mid-autumn festival.
Mid-autumn festival is on 15 August of Chinese lunar calendar, which is coming on 4 October 2017. Chinese people pay much attention to this festival because it is a good chance of family reunion and expressing wishes to families and friends. Chinese people usually have moon cakes and watch the full moon together on the day. Celebrating this festival is also a perfect opportunity for CIBL to help local people to learn more about Chinese traditional culture and CIBL itself.
On 2 October, CIBL Staff arrived at PWC Embankment at 11:30 and set up calligraphy table, information table and Chinese zodiac table. PWC staff joint the event at about 12:00 and were very interested in the cultural experience. Many PWC staff tried Chinese calligraphy. Chinese zodiac is also a popular item. Many people picked their animal symbol card and some of them took the cards to their colleagues and friends as a gift. People at PWC really enjoyed the event and were glad to leave their contact details for more information of events and programmes at CIBL.
On 6 October, CIBL staff arrived at the event venue at 11:30. During the event, CIBL teachers helped those who are interested in Chinese calligraphy culture to write Chinese characters with a brush. Quite a few people were keen to know their animal symbols and took a Chinese zodiac card with them. CIBL courses are welcome by staff at PWC and many of them asked for leaflets for more information.
All in all, the events at PWC were a big success and were a promotion of the relation and corporation between CIBL and PWC.
2017年10月2日和10月6日，伦敦商务孔子学院分别在伦敦普华永道的Embankment和 London Riverside办公地点成功举办了两场中秋节庆祝活动。
中秋节是中国农历的八月十五，而今年的中秋节在阳历十月四日。中国人非常重视中秋节，喜欢在这一天祝福亲友、寄托思念。
10月2日和6日的活动当天，伦敦商务孔院员工提前三十分钟到达活动地点，设置书法展台、课程信息展台以及生肖卡展台。普华永道员工在12点以后陆续来到活动现场。活动中的书法体验练习、生肖卡等吸引了大家的注意力， 很多员工不仅想了解生肖和自己的属相，还尝试为自己的同事、朋友和家人挑选生肖卡。不少人现场询问孔院的课程信息或者带走宣传材料，还有员工高兴地留下个人联系方式，期待参与孔院的更多活动。
两次活动促进了伦敦商务孔子学院与普华永道的交流，圆满实现了预期效果。公司职员借此更多接触和了解中华传统节日，了解孔子学院本身，孔院也进一步了解商务人士的需求。
