FLIA's success at the LSE Impact Prize Awards
We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of FLIA colleagues recognised in the LSE's inaugural Impact Prize Awards 2025, which honour outstanding contributions to research impact.
Dr Robtel Neajai Pailey, FLIA Internal Advisory Board Member, won the Rising Star Impact Prize, awarded to an early career researcher for outstanding impact. Her project, “Development, (Dual) Citizenship and Its Discontents in Africa: The Political Economy of Belonging to Liberia”, played a key role in informing the passage of Liberia’s dual citizenship law in 2022.

Dr Souad Mohamed, FLIA and WPS Visiting Senior Fellow, was awarded Highly Commended in the Outstanding Team Impact category. The project “From Research to Resilience: Scaling Ethical Leadership for Displaced Women in Africa and Beyond” was Highly Commended for excellence in team-based impact, showcasing the power of collaboration across research, professional services, and external partners.

Congratulations to Dr Robtel Neajai Pailey and Dr Souad Mohamed for these well-deserved recognitions!
