We aim not only to train but also to inspire a future generation of accounting academics.

Professor Mike Power

We provide our students with the skills necessary to become successful scholars. We offer a wide selection of courses in accounting, finance and economics, which enable students to undertake rigorous and innovative research.

Professor Ane Tamayo

Did you know LSE undergraduate students are eligible to apply for an MRes/PhD in Accounting or Management? Are you an LSE undergraduate student or a recent graduate interested in undertaking a PhD? If so, join us on Wednesday 2 November from 10.00 – 14:00 for our event, “UG to PhD” - the Undergraduate Route to Research Programmes. Students from all departments are welcome.

This free half day event, jointly hosted by the Department of Accounting and the Department of Management, will showcase the latest exciting research at the LSE, current research students will share their experiences, and you’ll hear from faculty on their careers in research and academia.

- Join Dr Aneesh Raghunandan (Accounting) and a member of the Management faculty for a mini research seminar to gain an insight into the research process and hear about their latest exciting topic.

- Hear from current research students on why they chose to study for a PhD and what a typical day in the life of a research student involves.

- Listen to Julia Morley (Accounting) and Francesca Manzi (Management) and learn about their journey into academia, why they chose to be an academic, what a career in adademia involves and general advice on pursuing a career in research.

The event will end in a networking lunch.

This will be a great opportunity for you to find out more about research programmes in Accounting and Management, network and have informal conversations with the LSE Research community in person, on campus.

To secure your place at this event, please complete the application form by Friday 28 October, 12.00pm.
