Giants by Figs in Wigs

New Academic Building

A free interactive adventure for children aged 5 - 10 where you will meet the Five Giants of the welfare state and tackle each one! Expect potion making, dancing, and storytelling amongst other fun activities. Bring your wits, your thinking caps (or wigs) and your dancing shoes. You’re going to need them!

Performances will run from 12-1.30pm and 2.30-4pm (with BSL interpretation).

Figs in Wigs have invited stellar stars from the London Alternative Cabaret scene to LSE to bring the Giants to life in this quirky, family friendly event which is like no other!

Figs in Wigs (@figsinwigs) are a UK based performance company who make work that is an unconventional mix of theatre, live art, comedy and dance. We have been making work collaboratively since 2012 using puns, bad jokes and pop culture references to charm and disarm audiences of all ages

Podcasts
We aim to make all LSE events available as a podcast subject to receiving permission from the speaker/s to do this, and subject to no technical problems with the recording of the event. CPD
This event has been certified for CPD purposes by the CPD Certification Service. Self-Assessment Record forms will be made available for delegates wishing to record further learning and knowledge enhancement for Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPD) purposes. For delegates who wish to obtain a CPD Certificate of Attendance, it is the responsibility of delegates to register their details with a LSE steward at the end of the event and as of 1 September 2014 a certificate will be sent within 28 days of the date of the event attended by the CPD Certification Service.  If a delegate fails to register their details at the event, it will not prove possible to issue a certificate. The Cloud is only intended for guest and visitor access to wifi. Existing LSE staff and students are encouraged to use eduroam instead.
