New Urban Age survey launched on the future of knowledge work and cities

28 October 2020

Survey1 SM Card

LSE Cities is carrying out a survey on the future of work and its impact on cities as part of the Urban Age engagement and outreach programme. We are interested in hearing your views.

The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete and can be found here.

Over recent months many have prophesised the end of cities, while others see the current crisis as an opportunity. As cities around the world learn to cope with the violent impact of the COVID-19 pandemic alongside new demands for social justice and a global climate emergency, there is an urgent need to reflect and respond to rapidly changing urban dynamics.

We want to build on the legacy of the Urban Age Programme to explore what could and should happen in cities over the next decade.

Over the next six months the Urban Age Programme will:

  • Carry out research, including brief surveys on the future of work, home, mobility, urban governance and climate
  • Commission and share short films and podcasts
  • Host virtual debates and public lectures

If you have any questions about the Urban Age Programme, please contact Noah Powers, Urban Age Project Assistant (n.d.powers@lse.ac.uk).

Thank you for your contributions and we look forward to sharing the results with you soon!
