This seminar continues to explore rapid urbanisation processes and possible approaches and interventions to fuide it towards a more sustainable form of development. Throughout a full day of events, the seminar will focus on integrated planning strategies and tools for emerging towns, which have become instrumental for consolidating rural-urban transformation in Ethiopia. In her session, Julia King will be discussing her research on incremental infrastructure and the design of affordable sanitation systems during rapid urban change.
