We’re pleased to announce that PhD students Silvia Milano and David Kinney have been jointly awarded the 2017/8 Popper Prize.

The Popper Prize is awarded biennially for distinguished achievement in graduate work in an area of philosophy to which Karl Popper made significant contributions. All current postgraduate research students in the Department are eligible for the award.

We’re pleased to announce that the 2017/8 Popper Prize has been awarded jointly to Silvia Milano, for her paper “Bayesian Beauty”, and to David Kinney, for his paper “Inductive explanation and Garber–Style solutions to the problem of old evidence”.
