LSE PhD graduate, Johannes Himmelreich, will be taking up a prestigious Interdisciplinary Ethics Fellowship at Stanford University in 2017–2018.

Johannes Himmelreich completed his PhD with us in 2015. Under the supervision of Prof Christian List, his doctoral work focussed on the nature of agency and moral responsibility. Since completing his PhD, Johannes has held a postdoctoral position at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

We’re very pleased to announce that Johannes will soon be taking up an Interdisciplinary Ethics Fellowship in the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society at Stanford University. With generous support from Apple University, he will spend some of his time at Apple University working under the guidance of Josh Cohen conducting research on the ethical considerations that arise from automated systems and machine learning.

Congratulations Johannes!
