How to Host

CPNSS Grants

Information regarding hosting a grant with us.

Are you thinking of applying for a grant? The LSE Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Sciences (CPNSS) is one of the world’s most vibrant philosophical research centres. In our central location on the LSE campus in London, we are at both a-physical and intellectual Centre of philosophical activity in the UK.

Our grant Principal Investigators (PIs) enjoy the wide range of resources for researchers provided by the CPNSS. This includes staff support, office and desk space in our buildings on Portugal Street, hybrid-equipped seminar and meeting rooms, LSE library and IT access, resources to support hosting conferences as well as large public events through our successful Philosophy Live public lecture series, as well as access to the many CPNSS research seminars, reading groups, workshops, and public events.

Some grants, like the British Academy’s Newton International Fellowship, are designed specifically to bringing international researchers to UK institutions like the CPNSS. Other grants are designed specifically for early-career researchers, such as the ERC Starting Grant. Alternatively, the UKRI Standard Research Grant supports long-term projects that can be carried out by any excellent researcher based in the UK.

If you have found a grant you are considering hosting at the CPNSS, contact the Director.
