LSE offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend a full academic year at University of Toronto

Scarborough (UTSC): Located in eastern Toronto, known for its hands-on learning programs.
Mississauga (UTM): Located west of Toronto, known for its interdisciplinary programs and proximity to natural areas.

There are currently 2 spaces available. Open to all students (Not available to students pursuing the CIVICA Engage Track). Suitable for PPE.
Applicants must be in their second year and must return to LSE after the year abroad to complete their degree.
To be eligible for consideration, you must have an overall average of 60% or above from all of your first year courses. Applicants with individual module scores under 60% will be considered, as long as the overall average grade is 60% or above.
As part of your application, you must provide your marks from your first year modules at LSE and the name and contact details of one academic referee. Your referee can be any academic member of staff from your department at LSE.
Language of Instruction: English.

Academic Calendar:
• Fall Term: September to December
• Winter Term: January to April
• Summer Term: May to August
Students should arrive one week before classes begin.
Course Workload:
Exchange students are expected to be enrolled in a full-time course load. A full-time course load is determined by the host faculty.
Faculty of Arts & Science: 3-5 courses per term.
Full course load: 2.5 credits per semester.

The Centre for International Experience (CIE) provides a range of services and support specifically designed for international students, including those on exchange.
They offer resources such as the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP), immigration services, International Language Exchange programs, the International Student Experience Ambassador Program, and the Intercultural Learning Program, among others.
Their team of transition advisors are dedicated to assisting exchange students with non-academic support. For more information about the services, please visit their website.
Once you are admitted, you can complete the on-campus residence application, most exchange students will live off campus during their exchange as on-campus housing is in high demand.
The Housing Office created a specific website for exchange students who are looking for off-campus housing.
If you have any questions relating to housing, please contact the Housing Office. Make sure that you include your full name, student number, and identify yourself as an exchange student.

My year in Toronto, Canada has changed me forever. Moving across the world at 20 was the scariest but best thing I have ever done. I have learnt so much about myself, my independence and what I want for my future. I have made friends here that will last a lifetime and memories I will cherish forever. Toronto is a beautiful city and although very cold in the winter the people were always so warm and welcoming. Being based in North America has allowed me to travel to places easily that I could not easily access from the UK. I flew to NYC for the weekend to watch the Radio City Rockettes, Utah to see the gorgeous mountains, Vancouver to visit the beaches, and the DR to experience their rich culture. I am so grateful to LSE and UofT for the opportunities and memories this year has brought me. Toronto will always hold a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to come back.
