Rosebery Hall is located in Islington, near Sadler’s Wells Theatre and the Barbican arts centre with Clerkenwell's trendy bars and restaurants situated nearby. The hall is comprised of two wings - Rosebery and Myddelton.

Who can apply to Rosebery Hall?
Undergraduate students first, but if we still have rooms available in late summer, we open Rosebery Hall to a small number of graduate students, too.

Catering and kitchens
Rosebery Hall is a catered hall. Six evening meals and one brunch are included in your rent during term time. Catering is not provided during the vacation periods. For menus, meal times and more, see: Catering in LSE halls.

Layout
Corridor-style with rooms along a corridor. More about different layouts in halls. Toilets and showers in Rosebery Wing are same sex only, whilst in Myddelton Wing toilets and showers are comprised of cubicles, used by both male and female students.
What's included in the rent?
Six dinners and one brunch per week in term-time, Wi-Fi, insurance and utility bills. Also includes common room activities and portable appliance testing. Meals are not served during the Winter and Spring break, but the cost is spread over the full stay. For 2026/27 onwards, 1x wash and 1 x dry for each week of your contract (pre-loaded onto your laundry account).

Cleaning
Communal areas cleaned daily. You are responsible for cleaning your own room.
Planned refurbishment

- Once you have spent your pre-loaded laundry balance, card operated laundry and ironing room - a wash costs £2.80 and a dry £1.40.
- Personal fridge £20 per term, £60 for the whole academic year. If you do wish to bring a small fridge to the hall to keep in your room, you will need to pay these charges.

Rosebery Hall is inside London’s Congestion Charge/Ultra Low Emission Zone area.
If you drive to Rosebery Hall on weekdays you need to pay the Congestion Charge. Visit: Congestion Charge.
