Current mid-year room vacancies in halls

See what rooms are available during the current academic year

Rooms in halls sometimes become available 'mid-year' after the academic year has started. For example when someone has moved out early. On this page, we'll list any vacant rooms during the current academic year and explain how you can apply.

List of available rooms

This list is updated regularly from the start of the academic year until early summer. Sometimes rooms may have already been offered to other students, or new ones may have become available before they're listed here.

How do I apply for a mid-year room?

1) Check if you're eligible

You can apply for mid-year accommodation if:

  • you are a current registered full-time student at LSE

You can't apply if:

  • you're studying at another university or are a member of the public
  • you already have a place in LSE halls or at one of our partner residences. That also means that mid-year rooms are not available to swap into, if you're already in halls.

2) Let us know that you're interested

Before you can apply for mid-year vacancies, you need to let us know which room you're interested in. We'll then confirm whether the room's suitable for you and guide you through the rest of the application process. Use the enquire button on this page.
