Association of Public Policy Students (APPS)

The Association of Public Policy Students (APPS) is the official student association of the School of Public Policy at LSE.

Our remit involves connecting current students with alumni, developing students’ career potential, engaging the student body in the local community, coordinating social activities and organising a formal Ball at the end of the Winter term.

Our goal is to help all SPP students make the most of their time at the LSE and form meaningful connections with their fellow classmates, SPP faculty and staff, and the broader LSE community.

Jules Burgo Küntzmann
Jules Burgo Küntzmann is an MPA student from France, currently pursuing his degree at the London School of Economics. Previously he was representative of the 2024/25 MPA, and is currently the President of APPS.
He completed his Bachelor of Laws at Paris-Panthéon-Assas university, where he specialised in international and public law, and studied at Duke Law School. During his time as a student, he gained experience through internships and summer jobs at a law firm, an NGO based in Madagascar, and most recently, at the French Ministry of Armed Forces within the Financial Affairs Directorate.
He is deeply committed to ensuring that every voice is heard and that all perspectives are valued. He strives to build cohesion and foster an environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute.

Krisha Chandnani
Krisha Chandnani is a second-year MPA-DSPP student from Pune, India. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with Honours from the Symbiosis School of Economics, India, where she primarily focused on quantitative analysis.
Before joining LSE, Krisha worked at Reblue Ventures - an AI-Sustainability firm in India - as a Prompt Engineer and Domain Associate. She has also conducted research with NABARD (the apex institute of rural credit in India) and interned at the Data Analysis and Management vertical of Niti Aayog (formerly, The Planning Commission of India). She aims to employ data to facilitate the development of practical and efficient policies in India.
Her main research interests include Climate Change, Nature Degradation and Gender.

Kartik Sanade
Kartik is a second year MPA student from India at the London School of Economics, with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bengaluru.
Kartik began his career at Goldman Sachs in compliance, focusing on regulatory affairs. He later contributed to a research paper on cybercrime and technology policy for a Member of Parliament, before moving to the non-profit sector where he worked on climate policy advocacy. Most recently, he spent the summer with Cambridge University Press and Assessment, evaluating the impact of global educational programs and interventions.
At LSE, Kartik has helped organize hikes and a pub quiz for fellow MPA students and hopes to bring the same enthusiasm to events as Treasurer of APPS.
