Reading/Working Group on Low-Income, Immigrant and First Generation students

27 March, 3:00 pm4:00 pm

The Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) group is organising a working group that aims to tackle the question of how we can better support students from low-income, immigrant, and first-generation backgrounds here at LSE. We take it that the labels “low-income,” “immigrant,” and first-generation” encapsulate a diverse array of experiences that need individual recognition.

Our plan is to facilitate a working group centered on improving the experiences of students from these groups at LSE. While we usually will circulate some suggested philosophy readings before our meetings, the group’s primary purpose is to foster dialogue around student experiences here at LSE and a space for developing ideas about how we can offer further support.

Our meeting will take place on Wednesdays at 3 pm in Weeks 7-11 of Winter Term. We are meeting in LAK 2.06.

🗓️ Wednesday, 27 March 2024, 3.00pm, LAK 2.06
