Tatiana is an experienced language educator with a strong background in course design, teaching, and assessment across further and higher education institutions in both Colombia and the UK.

Tatiana recently completed a PhD in Latin American Studies at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with research focused on post-conflict transitions and peacebuilding in Colombia. She also holds an MSc in Globalisation and Latin American Development from UCL and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Before joining LSE, Tatiana taught Spanish language and culture at several UK institutions, including Regent’s University London, London Business School, King’s College London, and the University of West London. She also lectured in Latin American politics at London Metropolitan University and delivered intensive Spanish language and cultural training for UK government professionals at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Metropolitan Police.

Earlier in her career, she taught English and developed language programmes in Colombia, following her first degree in Modern Languages from the Universidad de los Andes and an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from London Metropolitan University.
