Taif is an Iraq-focused Research Officer working on the project Managing Religious Diversity in the Middle East: The Muhasasa Ta'ifia in Iraq, 2003–2018 and the Conflict Research Programme.
She previously conducted research on women’s and girls’ rights and strategic litigation on cases of enforced disappearances, torture, arbitrary detention and extrajudicial killings in the Gulf and Iraq. She holds a BA in History of Art from UCL and an MSc in Human Rights from the LSE.
