About
Setenay is a Policy Officer and Project Lead at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre).
The TPI Centre provides asset owners and managers with publicly available data on the climate performance of companies, banks and countries. Setenay leads the Centre's research on sovereign transition planning and the methodological development of the Assessing Sovereign Climate-Related Opportunities and Risks (ASCOR) tool.
Background
Prior to joining the TPI Centre, Setenay worked as an Associate at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance in Türkiye. She worked with various local, national and international stakeholders on different topics including energy and infrastructure projects financed by the World Bank, climate governance, green fiscal policy instruments, and national risk assessment for financial crimes. She also worked at the Institute for Sustainable Resources, the University College London (UCL) as a Research Assistant.
Setenay holds a BSc in Political Science and Public Administration and an MSc in European Studies from the Middle East Technical University. She also graduated with Distinction from the MSc in Energy and Climate Policy at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex. She was awarded the Jean Monnet Scholarship by the European Union.
