About
Rosa is a PhD candidate at the European Institute.
Her research explores the implications of the Anthropocene for the transformation of capitalist democratic states, and the role of political imagination in generating and advancing visions of alternative futures. She is broadly interested in critical environmental thought, continental political philosophy, and democratic theory.
Rosa has an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge (distinction), and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Biological & Climate Sciences and Political Science from Duke University. She has diverse professional experiences - spanning U.S. federal agencies, renewable energy companies, climate venture capital, and higher education philanthropy - that inform her academic engagement with the intersection of politics, social organizing, and environmental change.
Rosa’s studies are funded by an LSE Studentship.
