Roberto Russo is a PhD Candidate in Law at the LSE. He holds an LLB (summa cum laude) from the University of Turin and an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law (distinction) from LSE. Roberto, who joined LSE Law Department on part-time basis, is the general counsel of a multinational group.
His research project intends to explore the overlap of multiple professional experiences in the drafting of corporate disclosures: in particular, the research is aimed to understand whether disclosures are couched in a special ‘dialect’ resulting from the combination of different professions (accounting, tax, legal, etc.) and whether this dialect ensures the fundamental purposes of qualitative disclosures, i.e. accuracy and readability. This review would offer a different vantage point from which one could engage the legal and policy debate about the disclosure model, and its effectiveness.
