Martina is a Visiting Fellow at the European Institute. She is passionate about policy-making and technological innovation.
She is an Associate Professor in Digital Trade at the School of Computing, Engineering & Digital Technologies of Teesside University and is also affiliated with the European University Institute, where she manages the Digital Trade Integration Project. Her research covers digital trade, data governance, and creative digital education.
Martina founded and manages FabLab Western Sicily, a non-profit organisation that brings creative digital education to Sicilian schools, and she was listed in Forbes 30 Under 30. She acts as a consultant for several institutions on a regular basis, including the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, and the World Bank.
