About
Marcus is a PhD student in International Relations at LSE. His research focuses on military effectiveness in modern naval warfare. Before LSE, Marcus was a Targeting Officer in the US Navy and deployed to the Red Sea onboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D Eisenhower. He was later an instructor at the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC), teaching courses on air-to-surface targeting at the tactical level of war.
Marcus holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College in History and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge in American history, where he researched Anglo-Indian wars in 17th century New England.
