About
Marcus is a PhD student in International Relations at LSE. His research focuses on military effectiveness in modern warfare. Before LSE, Marcus was a Targeting Officer in the US Navy and deployed to the Red Sea onboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D Eisenhower. He was later an instructor at the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC), teaching courses on air-to-surface targeting at the tactical level of war.
Marcus holds an A.B. in History from Dartmouth College and an MPhil in American History from the University of Cambridge, where he researched Anglo-Indian wars in 17th century New England.
