Luke is a PhD candidate in Economic Geography. His interests lie within Urban Economics, housing markets and planning policy, particularly in a UK context. His research papers relate to transport infrastructure as a determinant of business location decisions and the role of the British planning system in explaining differences in local productivity.

Prior to joining the PhD programme, Luke worked as an economist at HM Treasury on UK housing policy, household consumption and living standards. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bath and an MPhil in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge.
