Kristyna is a second-year doctoral candidate at the Gender Faculty of the London School of Economics. Her work builds on decolonial feminist scholarship of political theory and international relations to explore the gendered logic of epistemic violence from imperial peripheries through a contrapuntal reading of the trajectory of self-determination of Palestine and Czechia since 1917. As she traces the complicity of the Eastern European nation-state in the denial of self-determination of the Palestinian people, she highlights the insurgent relations of feminist friendships between Palestinian and Czech women and the alternative feminist onto-epistemic frameworks they outlined.

She graduated with a first-class degree in MSc in Gender Peace and Security in 2023 and holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations and Diplomacy. Kristyna’s academic work has been repeatedly recognised by numerous prizes, including several LSS Dean’s Awards at the University of Derby and the Best Overall Performance Award at the LSE Gender Department. Her research was previously published by the LSE Gender Blog Engenderings and by the En-Gender Journal. Kristyna has also worked at the Center for Global Development in London.
