Kay (Kyounghye) Cheong Patalano
About
Kay is Strategic Outreach Manager at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre), which she joined in July 2024.
The TPI Centre provides asset owners and managers with publicly available data on the climate performance of companies, banks and countries. Kay leads the development and implementation of the TPI Centre’s outreach and communications strategy, and supports engagement with external stakeholders, including asset owners, asset managers, investor networks, corporates, sovereigns, policymakers, civil society and media.
Background
Kay has an extensive experience in multi-regional strategic planning, complex initiatives, market research, new product launches and sales support as Director at global investment banks, such as Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and Credit Suisse, in the US and Europe.
During her career break for family relocations to Switzerland, France and the UK, she obtained the Certificate in ESG Investing (CFA Institute), the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (SASB, IFRS Foundation), the advanced French diploma (DELF B2), the intermediate German diploma (telc Deutsch B1) and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership Certificates in Sustainable Finance, Business Sustainability Management, and Sustainable Marketing, Media and Creative.
Prior to getting her MBA in NYU Stern School of Business with focus on Finance and Marketing in New York, she worked in communications and public relations in Seoul, Hong Kong and Tokyo. She holds a BA in English Literature and Language from Sogang University in Seoul and an MBA in NYU Stern in New York.
