Kay (Kyounghye) Cheong Patalano
About
Kay is the Strategic Outreach Manager at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre), which she joined in July 2024.
The TPI Centre provides asset owners and managers with publicly available data on the climate performance of companies, banks and countries. Kay leads the TPI Centre’s outreach and communications strategy, supporting engagement with key stakeholders, including asset owners, asset managers, investor networks, corporates, sovereigns, policymakers, civil society and media.
Background
Kay has extensive experience as a Director in multi-regional strategic planning, complex initiatives, market research, new product launches and sales support at global investment banks, including Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and Credit Suisse, in the USA and Europe. She also worked in communications and public relations in Seoul, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
During her career break for family relocations to Switzerland, France and the UK, she obtained the Certificate in ESG Investing (CFA Institute), the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (SASB, IFRS Foundation), the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership Certificates in Sustainable Finance, Business Sustainability Management, and Sustainable Marketing, Media and Creative, as well as the French language diploma (DELF B2) and the German language diploma (telc Deutsch B1).
She holds a BA in English Literature and Language from Sogang University in Seoul and an MBA with a focus on Finance and Marketing from the NYU Stern School of Business in New York.
