Hamza Syed

Hamza is a PhD Economics candidate in the Department of Economics. His research interests lie at the intersection of political economy, development and conflict.

Before joining the PhD Economics programme, Hamza worked at HSBC as a Risk Analyst, and thereafter at J-PAL South Asia, initially as a Senior Research Associate and then as a Research Manager.

Hamza holds an MA in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics.
