About
Franks is the Departmental Senior Student Adviser in the Department of Statistics, a point of contact for all undergraduate and postgraduate taught students. He provides professional and pastoral support, working alongside Academic Mentors, Department Tutors, Programme Directors and the Programmes Team. He is a friendly point of contact if students ever need someone to talk to, helping them connect with the right support for any non-academic concerns, whether personal, practical, or just something they’re unsure about. He guides students through the range of support services at LSE and beyond, works to ensure they can fully engage with all aspects of life at LSE, and advises on processes such as Extensions, Deferrals, Exceptional Circumstances, Programme Transfers, Interruptions, and Withdrawals. He holds regular office hours and runs drop-in sessions to make support accessible and straightforward.
Born in Colombia and raised in North London, he considers himself very much a Londoner. Outside of work he enjoys keeping active, running, going to the gym, and his main mode of transport is cycling, rain or shine. He also enjoys travelling whenever he can—particularly to destinations with a good sandy beach—and proudly supports a certain red-shirt-with-white-sleeves North London football club.
