Filipe is a Policy Officer at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre).
The TPI Centre provides asset owners and managers with publicly available data on the climate performance of companies, banks and countries. In this role, Filipe contributes to Carbon Performance assessments and sectoral methodology development.
Background
Filipe is an economist with a Master’s degree in Economics of the Industry and Innovation from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
Before joining the TPI Centre, Filipe gained extensive research experience at both national and international levels, having served as a consultant for intergovernmental organisations and the private sector. Filipe is a former staff member of the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and a former consultant for the Banco Itaú Unibanco S.A. Throughout his career, his research has spanned strategies for financing the net zero transition, competition policy and applied economics.
Filipe is a native Portuguese speaker and is proficient in English and Spanish.
