Ivan is a Visiting Fellow at the LSE Health Policy Department as part of the Research Internship Abroad Scholarship Program, funded by the São Paulo State Research Agency in Brazil (FAPESP – Grant num. 2025/15300-7). He is also a postdoctoral researcher at the Insper Institute for Education and Research in São Paulo, Brazil (FAPESP Grant 2024/14231-9).

Ivan holds a B.A. in Economics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas and a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Insper. His research covers topics such as development economics with a focus on education and climate change, the interaction between public and private health in developing countries, evaluation of public health programs, and technology introduction in health systems. His papers were presented in economics and health conferences abroad, such as the EuHEA and IHEA congresses, the LACEA Annual Meeting, the RIDGE Workshop on Inequality and Poverty, the Portuguese Economic Journal Annual Conference, and the Summer European Meeting of the Econometric Society.
