Avi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. His research examines how information about the clinical evidence of new drugs shapes the preferences and treatment decisions of patients, physicians, and the public.
Avi has collaborated with the European Medicines Agency to evaluate the introduction of a key information section to patient leaflets, and has consulted for the World Health Organization’s Novel Medicines Platform working group on novel antimicrobials.
Avi obtained his PhD from the London School of Economics and his master’s degree from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
