Ana Caistor Arendar is a Senior Policy Fellow at LSE International Inequalities Institute. Alongside her role at LSE, Ana serves as Advocacy Lead on the Secretariat to the Founding Committee of the International Panel on Inequality.

She works on international policy and research initiatives focused on economic inequality and international cooperation. Her work examines how research, advocacy and multilateral engagement can support action on inequality, with a focus on trade, tax justice, debt and public services. She has worked with governments, academics, trade unions, civil society organisations and international institutions across a range of global policy and advocacy initiatives.

She was previously Head of Inequality at Oxfam and Campaigns Coordinator at Progressive International. She began her career as a journalist reporting from Latin America for outlets including the BBC, The Globe and Mail and The Guardian, and has since written, commissioned and contributed to publications on climate change, economic inequality and international economic cooperation. Ana completed her master’s degree at the LSE in Comparative Politics, with a focus on Latin America.
