About
Alberto Marino is a health economist specialising in international health system comparisons, financing and policy.
With a decade of experience in health policy analysis, Alberto has worked for several international organisations, including the World Bank, the OECD, and the European Observatory for Health Systems and Policies.
His doctoral research builds on his experience working with experts and policymakers on making health systems financing more sustainable, and it aims to formalise theories and methods used across international frameworks to forecast health expenditure, as well as address key common gaps within these models. His work aims to bridge academic research and practical policy solutions for more efficient and resilient health systems.
Alberto holds an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York and a BSc in Political Economy from King’s College London.
