Campus Enrolment - Marshall Building - from 11.30
Campus enrolment takes place in-person and is where we will check your official documents, including passport and visa (if applicable). Full information can be found on our Enrolment webpage, and you can find out the time you are expected to enrol on the Enrolment Schedule for Postgraduate Students. If you can't make your campus enrolment slot on this day, you can find information on when and where to enrol on the Arriving After Welcome webpage.

Welcome Tea, Coffee and Snacks - from 12.00 - 17.30- Level 6/7 Fawcett House
Come by the Department to meet the Professional Services Team for a tea, coffee and snacks throughout the day (and grab your Department tote bag)!

Academic Mentor Allocations - by 5pm
You will receive an email to your LSE email address by the end of today to let you know who your academic mentor will be, so make sure to keep checking your LSE inbox. Your academic mentor is your key point of contact in the department, and their role is to keep an overview of your academic progress and overall wellbeing during your time at the School. Part-time Students Welcome - 16.00 - 17.00 - Silverstone Room, Level 7 Fawcett House
Join members of the Professional Services Team and Deputy Head of Department, Omar Al-Ghazzi to hear about what your time at LSE looks like for part-time students and to meet both 1st/2nd year part-time students!

Academic Mentor Meetings - 2.00pm to 3.00pm or 3.00pm to 4.00pm
Your academic mentor will play a huge part in your time at the School, overseeing both your academic progress and wellbeing over the course of your programme. Come get to know your academic mentor in this session! You will be sent an email to your LSE email address with the name of your academic mentor and the room number.

What to Expect from Your Year - 11.00am to 1.00pm, Old Theatre, Old Building
Meet your professional services team and members of staff from other LSE divisions, and ask questions about course selection, LSE Careers, the LSE Library and more.

Student Treasure Hunt - start between 2.00pm to 3.00pm - on campus (precise location to be confirmed)
Team up with your others in your cohort to get to know London as you move from landmark to landmark to complete challenges and find the hidden treasure! Details will be emailed to students who have registered on campus. Register here

A Welcome session delivered by LSE President, Professor Larry Kramer and Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), Professor Emma McCoy

Grab a Pizza- From 4.00pm to 5.30pm, Silverstone Room/Lincoln's Inn Fields
Students who are able to join us on campus are invited to a social gathering in the department's Silverstone Room, where you can continue to get to know your fellow students in a relaxed setting, you can even take your pizza to Lincoln's Inn Fields park if the weather is sunny. Register here.

Career Experience/Returning to Education (CERE) Student Session
8 October, 4-5pm | Hybrid / Silverstone Room, Level 7 Fawcett House

Come along to this session hosted by Dr Omar Al-Ghazzi, Deputy Head of Department (Education) to meet and chat with other CERE (mature) students in the department about how to make the most of your time here. This session is intended for students who have been out of education for a substantive time (approximately 5+ years) and/or may have other responsibilities outside of studies. If this applies to you please sign-up here to attend the session and be included in any future comms about our CERE Student Network

'What can I do with my degree’ Seminar, Alumni Panel and Reception
15 October, 5.30-8.00pm | Venue TBC

Learn more about the careers support available to you as a student in the Department of Media and Communications, gain insights into the different types of careers followed by alumni from your programme and have the opportunity to ask questions. The seminar will be followed by an informal alumni panel chaired by Careers Consultant, Jai Shah, and the opportunity to chat informally over drinks afterwards.

Campus Enrolment - PhD Academy, LRB4.03 (Lionel Robbins Building, 4th Floor) from 10:00

Campus enrolment takes place in-person and is where we will check your official documents, including passport and visa. Please ensure that all admissions conditions have been completed before you come to the PhD Academy to enrol in person, as you will not be able to complete the campus enrolment process until all conditions have been met.

Once you have completed campus enrolment, you will be issued with an LSE Student ID Card, which will allow you to access campus, including on-campus teaching and services.

For your on-campus enrolment session please ensure that you meet the following expectations.

• Please attend only the session for which you have been allocated.
• Please ensure that you have checked the Graduate Admissions Application Tracker and fulfilled any outstanding requirements associated with your admissions offer before you come to the PhD Academy for on campus enrolment. We will not be able to complete your enrolment if there are outstanding requirements associated with your admissions offer.

In this session you will meet your fellow PhD researchers along with introductions from the PhD Programmes team.
