Research Findings of a Three-Year Cross National Study and Implications for Policymakers and Stakeholders

This short Ted-X style seminar will provide highlights, insights and policy recommendations on the meanings and practices of youth citizenship in the UK, based on three years of EU Horizon 2020 funded research with British young people, including a longitudinal survey of British young people aged 16-26, media and policy analysis of youth participation, and interviews with youth experts. It will include short talks by Dr Shakuntala Banaji, the UK project director of the study, and by young people working for two organisations involved in our project’s ethnographic study, Momentum and My Life My Say.

The aim of this event is to provide stakeholders, policymakers, academics and general audiences interested in youth policies and practices with evidence and resources about the current state of youth civic and political engagement in a changing British and European civic and political landscape.

Food and refreshments will be provided.

Spaces are limited!

Please RSVP to either Dr. Sam Mejias at s.mejias@lse.ac.uk or Rachel Olejniczak at R.Olejniczak@lse.ac.uk
