Kieron Boyle Professor in Practice Appointment

Tuesday 17 June 2025

We are delighted to announce that Kieron Boyle, CEO of 100x Impact has been appointed a Professor in Practice at the Marshall Institute. This is the first professorship focused on the impact economy.

Kieron has spent the past 15 years helping grow this space — through work in government and philanthropy, developing the field of impact investing, backing ventures at scale, and building coalitions for systemic change.

Continuing this work, Kieron will lead the Marshall Institute’s Impact Economy Project, exploring the evolving role of capital, enterprise and philanthropy in tackling societal challenges. As this space grows in scale and influence, so too does the need for thoughtful cross-sector exchange.

The Impact Economy Project aims to do this in a number of ways:

  1. Impact Economy Labs, co-designing solutions to complex public challenges with senior government and cross-sector leaders
  2. Impact Economy Inquiry, convening foundations and philanthropists to align ideas and practices that unlock capital for public good
  3. Impact Economy Global research, studying how innovation, policy and capital can scale models of systemic change
  4. Impact Economy Dialogues, bringing together LSE academics and leading practitioners to help shape the field’s future

It’s an exciting moment — and a real privilege to be working alongside the brilliant teams at the Marshall Institute, 100x Impact, across LSE’s wider community, and with colleagues at the Impact Investing Institute and Impact Economy Collective.
